The political and the religious are inextricably enmeshed in current events in Syria. This phenomenon is embodied in photos and videos posted daily on the Internet by various warring parties. In their performance, Paola Yacoub and Joseph Rustom will examine iconographic production and its effectiveness at both the local and the territorial level.
