Evi Chantzi is a cultural manager and a journalist. She studied literature and cultural studies in Bordeaux and Berlin and was a student assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for the History of Science. Her master’s thesis questioned aspects of objective representation by reflecting on the dialectics of mimesis in the literary theory and practice of modernity. In her professional life, she has worked as a freelance journalist for Radio Multikulti, SWR International and the Zeitschrift für Kulturaustausch and as a programme-editor and moderator for the Greek radio-show of Funkhaus Europa. Her journalism focuses on topics of migration and contemporary cosmopolitanism. Parallel to this, she coordinated transcultural projects for the Goethe-Institute in Athens and the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin. In 2011, she joined global prayers • redemption and liberation in the city as project coordinator.
